    Our very own Paula Wiseman attended Dublin Comic-Con on Saturday 11th this year. She got a chance to interview some of the guests attending the event; she caught up with the actors Kevin McNally, Daniel Moncada and Luis Moncada. Kevin McNally is an English actor and writer. He is known for portraying Joshamee Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Daniel and Luis Moncada are Honduran-American actors and brothers known for their role as "The Cousins" Leonel and Marco Salamanca on the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad (2010) and its spin-off Better Call Saul (2016; 2018–present).

An observational documentary set in post-conflict Belfast’s Ardoyne,  where a marginalized, working-class community has for generations been plagued by poverty, drugs and guns. This film charts the dream of  Headmaster Kevin McArevey and his dedicated visionary team, illustrating how critical thinking and pastoral care can empower and encourage children to see beyond the boundaries and limitations of their own community. We see how philosophy can encourage them to question the mythologies of war and of violence, and challenge the narratives of their community.     Our very own Vixen Ninetails got a chance to interview Akidearest and Joey The Anime Man at J-Con 2019. Joey The Anime Man and Akidearest are a pair of YouTubers that are based in Japan, who are amongst the biggest Otaku channels on YouTube. Joey is a Japanese/Austrailian. Joey is known for his monthly favorites videos of the latest anime and manga he follows in Japan, which he critiques and gives his viewers some recommendations on what they should keep an eye out for. He is a massive otaku, who is fluent in Japanese, has a great sense of humor and comedic charm, who also produces some fun and bizarre videos on perhaps some of the most obscure services you can find in Japan: like renting a Japanese mom for a day.

Written by Irish author Kevin Barry and based around characters he  created for his own short story collection, Ian Fitzgibbon’s (Death of a Superhero) pitch-black comedy centres on a small Irish town over a week-long period. If you’re going get involved with men in a small  Irish  town, they might as well be the Mannions - and Sara is involved up to  her neck. The Mannions are a feuding family in the town of Dromord who  are all set at each other. Sara is married to Daddy Mannion but holding a  candle for her first love, his son Doggy. When she also  gets involved  with his brother, trouble looms. An impressive Irish cast  including  Peter Coonan, Charlie Murphy, Pat Shortt and Moe Dunford  flesh out this  unique, dark, comedy which offers on-the-nose  observations about Irish life.

In a faded hotel, amongst the peeling wallpaper and away from the prying eyes of their hometown, they laugh, quarrel, make love and enjoy their anonymity.  The hotel rooms are their safe haven but also their self-imposed prison as they don’t dare go out. After all, at barely 16 years old, two of them are still at school.... and the other two, their teachers.  Part love story and probing social commentary, Scarborough has a gripping narrative that uses it's structure to explore the boundaries of responsibility and consent.
